Arbor Announces Robotics Teams

It is starting with 2 FIRST robotics teams, one for upper elementary and middle (FIRST Lego League) and one for upper middle and high school (FIRST Tech Challenge). As you can imagine this will be a very exciting opportunity for these students as well as groundbreaking for the ASD and robotics/engineering communities.

As such, the teams are looking for sponsors as robotics can be expensive and the Arbor School, a non-profit, is trying not to pass the costs on to the parents. All sponsorships/donations are deductible as determined by your tax advisor. Sponsorship levels are: 0-$100 - Businesses and individuals will be recognized in team brochures along with a personal team thank you note and picture of the teams with their robots. $100-$500 - The above plus a mention on whatever multimedia the students produce (website, Facebook page, twitter account) $500+ - The above plus a spot on the back of the team t-shirts if donation received before the t-shirts are ordered (Sept '13)

Since we know of no other school offering a robotics program for students with disabilities, we anticipate publicity in the engineering and autism community. Please consider joining The Arbor School in this journey to expose more students with autism to STEM opportunities and careers. …our son has never been happier since he's been at Arbor. With the other schools he attended in the past, it was always a struggle to get him to go every day. At Arbor, he is excited and happy to go every day. Thank you!”

“I finally found the right fit! My son has only been at Arbor for one year and has learned more than he has over the last several at a different private school for students with learning disorders.
