Role Description

This is a full-time, onsite role for a Special Education High School Science Teacher. The teacher will develop and implement lesson plans, assess student progress, manage student behavior, and communicate regularly with parents and faculty. The teacher will also create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with special needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in special education or related field
  • Experience and knowledge of teaching students with disabilities
  • Experience with STEAM  & Project-Based Learning a plus
  • Flexible, Open to New Ideas, Team Player
  • Florida State Teaching Certification or Temporary Certification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans
  • Experience with behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Experience with assistive technology

 

Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and intellectual disability disorders is highly desirable. Successful candidates will be passionate about working with students with special needs and possess the skills and experience to create a positive, productive learning environment.
